donora

At the moment, I watch this every morning. I think it is a good way to start the day. As for my days, they are to busy to blog at the moment. I started a job at a cafe and life is just a bit crazy. I could be back in a day, a week or a month, who knows.

new apron design

Here are a few pictures from my work room. I love being organized but these days it's the staying organized that I find difficult.

I have been working on some new apron designs. So far, this is my favorite one.

And this was my first attempt at this cool trick.

a collection of brooches and clips going to Delume

And now for some dress up and a bowl of popcorn and maybe later a swim at the beach.

The backyard is growing into a meadow, the patio is covered with rotting plums and I won't even begin to explain the state that my house is in. I had so many plans for the first week back from holiday. Between Matt being back at school full time and Isabella being sick, my inspiration has been put on hold. I wonder how I ever managed to fit making aprons and dresses into these days?!

a holiday

Here are just some of the photos from our road trip in the North Island. We visited lots of family and many beaches, went kayaking and hiking on Kawau Island, had a night to ourselves in Raglan and managed to put 2500k on the car. It was an awesome trip but we felt relieved when we got home. Nothing like being stuck in a car with a 2 1/2 year old to test ALL your patience.

And here is just some of the fabric I collected while away....yummy.

necklaces

Weeks go by really quick around here. We have been pretty busy, getting ready for my last market and planning for a road trip up North. Today, while I was listening to this podcast, I finished these necklaces.

And now all they need are these buttons and I will be ready to put them in my Felt shop.
